The Road Monster: An Honest Review of the HappyRun Tank G100 Pro (2026)

At Ebikepros, we don't just sell bikes; we ride them. We know that when you’re looking at a

machine called the “Road Monster,” you want the truth, not just a sales pitch.

The HappyRun Tank G100 Pro is currently sitting at $2,199.00 (a significant drop from its $2,899.00 MSRP), making it a tempting entry into the world of high-power electric transit. But before you twist the throttle, here is our honest dealer perspective on the pros, the cons, and the essential safety tips for 2026.

The Pros: A True Mini Electric Motorcycle

Let’s be clear: the Tank G100 Pro isn't a bicycle you happen to pedal; it is a mini electric motorcycle designed for the pavement.

  • Supreme Comfort: The seat is a genuine motorcycle-style saddle. Unlike traditional e-bike seats meant for pedaling, this is built for long-distance cruising. Combined with the high-performance full suspension, it’s one of the smoothest rides in its class.

  • Speed That Delivers: Many bikes promise 50 MPH but struggle to maintain it. The G100 Pro stays consistently above 40 MPH, giving you the confidence to keep up with urban traffic.

  • Heavy-Duty Braking: With a high-voltage 72V system and 203mm hydraulic disc brakes, this bike has the professional stopping power required for its weight.

  • Reliable Support: In our experience as a dealer, HappyRun is excellent about replacing parts. While some components ship from China, our experience has been very positive—they stand behind their products.

  • Street-Ready Features: The turn signals, horn, and rugged mudguards make this a viable daily commuter. Plus, the RFID card start adds great modern security.

The Cons: Real-World Trade-offs

  • Dated Aesthetics: The tank-style battery housing is a bit of a throwback. It fits the "Road Monster" body well, but it isn't the sleekest design on the market today.

  • Heavy Frame: This is a heavy bike. While that makes it feel planted and stable at 45 MPH, it’s not something you want to carry up stairs.

  • Basic LCD: The display feels a bit cheap for a bike at this price point, though the RFID functionality is a major plus.

  • PAS - Too much Torque on sport setting

⚠️ Expert Safety Advice: The PAS Risk

The HappyRun Tank G100 Pro comes with a Cadence Pedal Assist (PAS) system. Because this motor produces massive torque, the PAS kicks in the moment you move the pedals.

Ebikepros strongly recommends disabling or removing the PAS system on this bike.

With 6,000W of peak power, if the PAS engages unexpectedly, the front wheel can pop up or the bike can flip if you aren't prepared. For a machine with this much "punch," the twist throttle offers much safer and more precise control.

Don’t Compare it to a Sur-ron or Talaria

Sur-rons and Talarias are mid-drive "wheelie machines" designed for dirt trails and technical stunts. The Tank G100 Pro is a high-speed road cruiser. It’s built for stability, comfort, and dominating the miles on asphalt. It’s a different beast for a different type of rider.

Beginner Tip: Sit Forward!

If you are new to high-power e-motos, remember this: Sit as far forward as possible on the seat when accelerating. Keeping your weight center to front of the bike which is crucial to managing that 72V torque and keeping the rubber on the road.
